Winter — especially of the unusually wet, stormy variety that’s been sweeping across California these days — is the perfect time to start daydreaming about a summer vacation at the Disney Parks.
I’m a firm believer that there’s a born vacation planner in every family… and in mine, that responsibility often falls to me. I get some kind of perverse joy out of perusing restaurant menus, collecting maps, sketching out routes to the nearest attraction or theater, and solving the puzzle of how it’ll all come together in the end.
And while I generally use pen and paper to jot down my initial thoughts, digitizing those plans is a crucial step to making sure that my next trip will unfold as seamlessly in reality as it does on the page. A few personal favorites: Trello (free, accessible on mobile, and beautiful drag-and-drop features), Google Flights (great comparison option, even if it doesn’t cover all airlines), and Booking.com (comprehensive filters and decent rewards program).
